Which 10 best habits changed your life?

1. Get up at 5 in the morning, make your bed, wash your face, drink a glass of lukewarm lemonade before going to the toilet and meditate / pray for 10 minutes.

2. At 5:30 am, I get out of the house; I walk in the park which is 1.5 km from my house. My daily practice involves Surya Namaskar (Surya Namaskar) 10 times, skipping 5–10 minutes as well as at least 2–3 kilometers (the total should reach 9000–10,000 steps per day)

3. Return home by 7:00 am and prepare for yourself a breakfast of brown bread wedge sandwiches (I often add peanut butter), oats, etc. without sprouted grains, butter or oil, and I eat an apple every day.

4. I usually take at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables with 3 liters of water a day, as this is the recommended amount to keep away from lifestyle related diseases. (I keep 4 different half liter bottles of water with me on the way to office).

5. After breakfast I read the newspaper (The Hindu), it enhances my knowledge of general information and also improves my language skills and vocabulary.


6. Then at the 8 to 4 office, I take 4 short breaks of 15 minutes each, including (stretching and mental breaks) tea breaks, lunch breaks, and a call break in which I talk to my parents. My lunch consists of green vegetable and fruit with green vegetable and 2 chapatis with lentils. I drink green sugar or lemon grass tea without sugar.

7. I hit the office gym after 4′0 clock and did 1 hour of cardio and weight training.

8. Then I go home to take a shower of hot or cold water depending on the weather, I never bring my unfinished office work to my house, I listen to music and spend 45-60 minutes Blogger. Sometimes I also write my experiences.

9.  I eat dinner at 8:00 pm, which includes (veg soup, lentils, green salad and chapati).
 As I stay away from my family, I call my parents twice a day.

10.  I make a to-do list for the next day, brush my teeth and go to bed at 10 pm.

Best Feeling Imagination

A good friend of mine--we'll call her Frieda--recently found out that her car was on the verge of breaking down, needing a transmission, new suspension and brakes. But these repairs would more than total the car's worth. Because she is nearly 80, her friends and family, along with me, pleaded with her not to drive the dang thing as it just wasn't safe. Frieda gave in, and in the next few days came to me very excited about being able to get a monthly city bus pass discounted for seniors.
"I just love the bus!" she'd say, and then head out all over town with this new found freedom. Her enthusiasm for having that freedom impressed me.
A few weeks later, Frieda excitedly strolled up to me, "I've got some great news! A friend of mine has three cars and is letting me use one of them--she's paying the insurance for me!" She had also talked to another friend who owned a garage and had said he would give her $500 for her old car. "But, I decided it felt better to give it to Father Joe's Ministries--they'll tow it, you know!"
At first, I wondered why she didn't want the $500, since she's on a very restrictive fixed income, but then Frieda's story was dawning on me. She was doing what felt abundant and right. And, the bus pass to car transition was equally interesting. She was so into the feeling of freedom with the bus pass, she ended up magnetizing even more freedom in the form of a new car.
Frieda's story is a perfect example of how feelings and the imagination team up together to create a personal reality. And it truly is a team effort. Imagination without feeling--light daydreaming, or escapist fantasizing, does little to move the physical events in any particular direction, except maybe to create more opportunities for escape.
But, imagination WITH FEELING, is a whole other animal, and I know this from personal experience, but now and then it's a good idea to remind myself of it, because it's a two-edged sword to say the least.
The Universe is a neutral medium. As Manuel Ruiz, Jr., the Toltec shaman says, "Life is a canvas. You hold the paints and the paintbrushes. Make your life your masterpiece!"

The Universe is constantly responding to your decisions, your desires, your fears, but most directly to your feeling imagination. Quantum physics became famous for the discovery that the Observer (in an experiment) changes the outcome of an experiment by simply observing it. The implications of this discovery are vast. This ultimately means that you, simply by the act of perception change the way atomic and sub-atomic particles behave.
Research done by the Heart Math Institute has further shown that imagination directly changes DNA, and is able to turn gene expressions on and off. Add to this the discoveries of Dr. Maseru Emote that water responds directly to human feelings, and that the human body is 93% water, AND, that negative human emotions disrupt the geometries of water, and positive emotions enhance the geometries of water... Well, you've got a deep connection there between how you feel and what manifests in your life.
The way we change our inner emotional state is by purposely using our imagination. Think about that. Now consider Frieda's inner life. She lost her means of transportation, which equated to a loss of freedom to her. Rather than feeling restricted, she chose to feel freedom, and got herself a bus pass that made her feel even more free. As she rode around in the bus, she continued marveling at the freedom she had, and, bippity-boppity-boo, she manifested a car.
The power of the human mind is in the imagination. The imagination is the direct sub-atomic driver of physical reality, and feelings are the amplifiers of imagination.
Note that nowhere here are we talking about doing anything to "make stuff happen." We're just imagining with feeling and then responding. If that ends up being action taken, then it is action in alignment with how the universe is responding to the feeling imagination. To only take action in order to "make something happen," is an uphill battle, because there isn't any power of imagination or feeling (other than maybe frustration, which just slows things down more).


So sit quietly in your heartspace, imagine what your life could look like. Feel what it would be like. And before you know it, you'll be dancing in that world, and it didn't feel like you had to do anything!

It's All Belief

I had yet another interesting email exchange with my younger brother the other day. He has a way of getting me up on my own soapbox, I think because he speaks in such broad generalities I can't help but wade in and make some distinctions.
In this case, he was talking about his extreme distrust of any method of medical treatment--from surgery to energy medicine. His main beef with it was when practitioners or product hawkers post "disclaimers" about the efficacy of their services or products. The fact they "disclaim" to him meant they had uncertainty themselves as to whether or not their products or services were even valid.
I pointed out that the whole disclaimer thing has been made necessary because of the litigious nature of mainstream medicine in cahoots with insurance companies and government agencies. It has little to do with whether or not a particular product or service works.
Undaunted, he retorted that most "new-agey", "woo-woo" products or techniques have little or no "real science" backing them up. He sees that as an admission that it's all snakeoil. Further, he says, "I believe 98.999999% of the time any naturopathic products that 'work' are based in pure belief, not actual physical effect."
Aside from the obvious naivete oozing from that statement, I had to respond to the "belief" part of his assertion:
believerHate to break it to ya, but it's ALL BELIEF. Medications work because they are metaphoric symbols, and their curative power lies in that symbol. Just because it is a symbol does NOT minimize its effectiveness. In many instances, the "placebo effect" is just as effective, or more so, than the "remedy" itself. It's all about what we truly, deeply and intuitively believe is true about something.
In Taoist practices, for example, saliva is considered the "fountain of youth," and meditations involve embuing saliva with light from the imagination and then swallowing the light. There's actually mundane scientific research done on this that found that consciously swallowing saliva increases the growth hormone content of the saliva.
Beyond all that, it is our BELIEFS that determine our level of health, and ability to heal. There are so many examples of people doing only meditation and fasting healing themselves of "terminal" diseases.
Japanese scientist, Masura Emoto, did breakthrough research on the quantum properties of water, and found that the electrical makeup of water is influenced by human thought, and that when frozen, water that has been exposed to life-affirming and positive thoughts makes perfectly symmetrical crystals, and water exposed to negative thoughts has no symmetry when crystalized. Since our bodies are around 90% water, this research has some impact.
I use several supplements, and every time I take a supplement I create positive energies for it to work in when I swallow it. In that way, it helps to override any subconscious negativity about it "working", and allows the body to take full advantage of what the supplement could do for it.
Anywho, yeah, I agree with you.
Mr. SmithIn response, my brother admitted he had little belief in his ability to change or alter his own beliefs, and that it was a problem. He sees the world as Mr. Smith in The Matrix movie, "I hate this place...this zoo.. this prison, this reality, whatever you want to call it. It's the smell. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink. Every time I do I feel I have somehow been infected by it."
I pointed out that with a world view like that, it's no wonder he has trouble visioning a healing and supportive world for himself. The trick for him, I think, is to stop caring what "others" are thinking and saying. Being a big fan of the Abraham material, he pointed out what Abraham says, "Stop asking them what they think. Start paying attention to how you feel. Joy will be yours immediately, and everything else that you have ever thought would make you happy, will start flowing, seemingly effortlessly, into your experience."
My brother did go ahead and order a couple of products I recommended, but remains highly skeptical and grumpy. But, I have every intention of continuing my campaign...
